Tom Pfeiffer, IFA,principle appraiser recently attended a current class on FHA appraising as provided by the Appraisal Institute.

An insight was given into the many changes to FHA lending and what appraisers need to know about HUD 's current Policies and Procedures.

FHA appraisers still report what they observe at the property but required repairs are limited to the following concerns: 

1. Safety of the occupants

2. Security of the property

3. Soundness - conditions that affect structural integrity
